Meet Our Team

Alora Berry

Alora grew up in Southeast Texas and started her career as a veterinary technician. That work gave her a front row seat to the kinds of behavioral challenges that can make life tough for dogs and their owners. She and her wife, Sarah, have a pack of their own at home, so she knows first-hand the joys and challenges of living with dogs.

After moving to the San Antonio area, Alora worked for a couple of local training companies and got to work with dogs of all types. She loved helping them learn, but the “one-size-fits-all” training style didn’t sit right with her. Every dog is different, and she wanted the freedom to train in ways that fit the dog, not the program.

Missing the veterinary world, she stepped into the role of Hospital Manager at Startz Veterinary Clinic in Canyon Lake. But the itch to train never went away. She kept working with dogs on the side, blending her training skills with her background in animal health. Until eventually, training called her full-time.

Now, as Head Training and Co-Owner of Luke’s Lodge, Alora brings more than a decade in veterinary medicine and over four years of training experience to the table. She knows that not every behavior issue can be “trained out” and that health, nutrition, and environment all matter. Her goal is simple: find real solutions that work for each dog and their person, and help them enjoy life together.

Sarah Irwin

Sarah is a full-time transactional business attorney who handles the business side of Luke’s Lodge, from planning and strategy to making sure the company runs smoothly behind the scenes. She keeps the finances, contracts, and big picture decisions on track so Alora can focus on training and daily operations.

Sarah is far from a desk-only partner. She is quick to jump in wherever she is needed, whether that means helping with dogs, pitching in at events, or supporting clients directly. Her legal and business background gives the Lodge a strong foundation, and her willingness to roll up her sleeves helps keep the team and the dogs moving forward together.
